Big Bore CNC Turning Centers

Our horizontal lathes in the Hi-TECH Big Bore series with an extra-large spindle bore diameter have been specially designed for the machining of pipes and couplings of the kind used in the oil and gas industries. Large pipes with diameters of up to Ø370 mm and with turning lengths of up to 5 metres can be loaded via the spindle and clamped with pneumatic chucks. Optionally, a second chuck can be fitted to the rear of the spindle. The wide twin turret is ideally suited for use in combination with long turning tools and boring rods.
